At Honda, everything we know about this EV is limited to electric wheels

Honda: As part of the first phase of its EV strategy, Honda will produce at least 10 two-wheelers globally by 2025. The EV sales target is one million vehicles by 2027. Honda EV sales are expected to reach 3.5 million units by the end of this decade. However, Honda will rely heavily on ICE-based vehicles throughout this decade. Only 15 percent of Honda's total sales in 2030 will come from EV sales. A big challenge that must be implemented in the planned, staged fashion, it is completely electric.

Honda class electric bike

Honda showcased some of its latest electric motorcycles, including Cub e, Dax e and Zoomer e. These basically have their respective petroleum counterparts. These revolutionary E-bikes were first sold in China. Honda appears to be following the same initial EV plans as other OEMs, which include replacing current gasoline vehicles with electric motors.

The new range of electric bikes from Honda may not require a driver's license in some international countries. This is because the maximum speed is 15 mph (about 24 km). It seems that it will be lower than a conventional e-bike, but with features such as fast charging and battery swap, it will not be a problem.

In addition, there are pedals with Cub, Dax and Zoomer e. The bike can still be used as a bike if the battery dies or if there is no problem. Because of their slim profile, users do not have to exert much effort to operate them.

Honda electric bikes are a great choice for Gen Z because of their sleek design. The younger generation is increasingly accepting electric vehicles, and Honda is making sure there are a variety of options. The new e-bikes from Honda are functional and simple in style. It works best for fast lanes on city streets.

Honda's Electric Roadmap for India

Honda's electric bikes have not yet been confirmed for sale in India. Instead of trying something new, Honda seems to have opted for a safe strategy for the Indian market. Scheduled to go on sale in January 2024, the Activa Electric will be Honda's first two-wheeler for India. This was confirmed by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) MD and CEO Atsushi Ogata.
